Eric Keen

Eric Keen joined Flagship Pioneering in 2022 as an Associate following his completion of the 2021 Flagship Fellowship. Eric works to conceive and develop transformative bioplatform companies that catalyze breakthroughs in health and sustainability. In this role, Eric is involved with all aspects of company origination and operations, including platform ideation, research and development strategy, team building, and intellectual property.

Eric holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Pathogenesis from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. His graduate research leveraged multi-omics approaches to disentangle complex interactions between pathogens, microbiomes, and immune systems. Eric also holds a B.S. in Biology with highest honors from the University of Miami, where he was a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar.
