Cambridge, Mass. – January 27, 2010 – Joule today announced the appointment of Dr. Troy J. Campione as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In this newly-created role he will lead Joule’s business development strategy and execution, including the negotiation of partnership and development agreements across multiple market segments.

Dr. Campione’s extensive background in the fields of biotech and cleantech spans more than 20 years, including his most recent position as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Solazyme, a developer of algal-derived biofuels and other products. He previously spent more than six years at Symyx Technologies as General Manager and Vice President of Collaborations, Alliances and Licensing, and 15 years at ExxonMobil in a variety of business, operations and technology leadership roles across a range of Exxon’s energy and chemical technologies. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and ME and BS degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tulane University.
