William Neeley

William Neeley joined Flagship in 2021 as Vice President, Intellectual Property Counsel. In this role, he develops intellectual property strategies for Flagship’s companies and provides counsel on general legal matters.

Previously, William was Vice President and Head of Intellectual Property at Magenta Therapeutics, Inc., a clinical stage biotechnology company, and Director of Intellectual Property at Epizyme, Inc., a commercial stage pharmaceutical company. Earlier in his career, he was an associate at Goodwin Procter LLP where he focused on developing patent portfolios for life sciences companies and advising on intellectual property matters related to financing events.

William holds a Ph.D. in biological chemistry from MIT, a J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law, and an A.B. in chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis.
