Roohi Vinaik

Roohi Vinaik joined Flagship Pioneering in 2021 as Associate Director, Product Concept Explorations and Clinical Development for Pioneering Medicines. She is responsible for exploring opportunities with Flagship platform companies and external strategic partners to advance Pioneering Medicines’ portfolio of therapeutics programs.

Roohi earned an M.D, a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in biochemistry from McGill University and a Ph.D. in Medical Science from University of Toronto. Her research focus was on the metabolic and inflammatory role of NLRP3 inflammasome in thermal injury. She has authored and co-authored multiple manuscripts on wound healing and adipocyte biology as well as book chapters on animal burn models, stem cells in wound healing, and scarring.

During her graduate studies, she received multiple awards and prestigious scholarships, including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Graduate Scholarships.
