Olivia Offner

Olivia Offner joined Flagship Pioneering in 2022 where she leads Flagship’s media relations strategy and execution and provides media relations and communications counsel for companies across the Flagship ecosystem.

Olivia has a strong track record of driving meaningful and impactful communications programs for companies, with a focus on making complex topics translatable for a variety of audiences. Her specialties include brand and reputation building, issues management, elevating thought leadership, and executive profiling. Before joining Flagship, Olivia led public relations globally for State Street Global Advisors, the asset management business of State Street Corporation. In this role, she was the senior public relations counselor to the executive team, partnering to communicate key company moments including transactions and leadership succession planning. She was previously a vice president on the corporate communications team at BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, where she led media relations for the BlackRock Investment Institute and executive visibility for its investment strategists. Olivia has held roles with public relations agencies Weber Shandwick, Prosek Partners, and Rubenstein, partnering with clients across a variety of industries to tell their stories. Olivia began her career in Washington, D.C., working in political journalism.

Olivia graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University with a degree in English and political science. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the Colgate student newspaper, The Colgate Maroon-News.
