Melissa Leahy

Melissa Leahy joined Flagship Pioneering in 2021 and is a Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner. Melissa works closely with Flagship’s ecosystem companies and their leadership teams to develop and execute on their people strategy which includes, but is not limited to talent management and development, change management, culture, workforce planning, organization development and design, and performance management.

Melissa brings over a decade of human resources experience from start-ups to mid-sized global public organizations. In her prior role at Progress Software, Melissa was a trusted business partner to multiple C-level executives and other senior leadership creating and executing a global HR strategy for their organization and serving as a thought partner to support business goals. In addition, Melissa established the global HR mergers and acquisitions centers of excellence team which she led through multiple acquisitions. Melissa has a passion for working with fast-growing organizations and teams to develop and execute people strategies that position companies for success.

Melissa holds a B.S. from Purdue University and an MBA from Babson College.
