Matt Liao

Matt Liao joined Flagship in 2024 as a Lab Operations Specialist for Pioneering Medicines.

He joins Flagship from Azenta Life Sciences (formally Genewiz) where he worked as Lab Technician II supporting the expansion of the Oligo Synthesis team. In this role, Matt performed daily oligo synthesis tasks and engaged in Lean development to identify bottlenecks and to enhance processes for delivering quality customer product. Previously, Matt spent 1.5 years as a Lab Technician for the Azenta Genetic Analysis team supporting Sanger sequencing workflows.

Matthew earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
