Kun Qian

Kun Qian is an associate director, contracts attorney at Flagship Pioneering. In this role, he brings legal, operational and scientific expertise to support the drafting and negotiation of various types of research and development (R&D) related contracts.

Kun started his career in the biotech industry as a scientist at Ariad Pharmaceuticals. He then transitioned into legal functions and most recently worked as the Research Operations Lead at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, where he managed, drafted and negotiated R&D related contracts.

Kun holds a B.S. in Biotechnology from Nanjing University, China; a M.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University; and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. He also holds a Certificate in Biopharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs from Northeastern University.
