Josephine Zorbo

Josephine Zorbo joined Flagship Pioneering in 2023 as Senior Director of Communications. In this role, she leads the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive communications initiatives for Flagship NewCos and GrowthCos.

Jo is a neuroscientist by training and brings a combination of scientific acumen and communications expertise to her role. She was previously Director of Scientific Strategy at LifeSci Communications, a global life sciences communications and marketing agency. She specialized in elevating emerging biopharma companies and brands that have complex science. In 2022, Jo was recognized for her work as one of the top 25 women leaving an indelible mark on the healthcare communications industry as a Women to Watch honoree by Medical, Marketing and Media.

Previously, Jo worked with the Center for Technology Licensing at Cornell University supporting the technology transfer team with the management of a broad array of Cornell discoveries and innovations. She also completed research in labs at Princeton University and Rutgers University.

Jo received her Ph.D. in neuroscience from Weill Cornell Medicine and B.A. in neuroscience from Colgate University.
