Deanna Sumrein

Deanna Sumrein joined Flagship Pioneering in 2021 as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist. In this role, Deanna is responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee data, and onboarding new hires.

Deanna brings to Flagship in-house experience with a focus on operations and talent assimilation. she was previously a Human Resources Specialist at Flagship-founded Cygnal Therapeutics where she supported the recruitment lifecycle, talent management, professional development, and payroll and benefits across all departments.

Deanna holds a B.S. in Cognitive Science and Communications Disorders and Sciences from William Paterson University and an M.P.H. in Public Health, concentrating in Health Services from Brown University School of Public Health.
