Dean Potenza, Vice President, Total Rewards & People Operations

Dean Potenza joined Flagship Pioneering in 2021. As Head of Total Rewards & People Operations, Dean leads the strategy and execution of compensation, benefits, HR operations, and people analytics across the Flagship ecosystem. Dean works closely with other leaders at Flagship and its portfolio companies to design and implement scalable, compliant, and high-impact people programs. Dean brings a holistic lens to HR, aligning rewards and operational practices to support Flagship’s mission and the evolving needs of its companies.

Prior to Flagship, Dean worked as a senior consultant with Aon/Radford’s Executive Compensation consulting group, specializing in executive and equity compensation, focused on the private and early public biotechnology space. He began his career in Deloitte’s advisory practice.

Dean graduated Magna Cum Laude from Babson College with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance and received his MBA in Managerial Leadership from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
