Amanda Sutherland

Amanda Sutherland joined Flagship Pioneering in 2021. She is responsible for the executive-level talent recruitment strategy for Flagship and its portfolio of companies to build out the C-level leadership teams.

Prior to joining Flagship, Amanda served as a Principal Recruitment Consultant on the executive search team with Real Staffing, a global pharmaceutical staffing agency. She was the lead consultant responsible for developing comprehensive search strategies, conducting market research, interviewing and assessing candidates, and managing client relationships for high-growth biotechnology companies. Amanda has successfully placed CEOs, CMOs, CSOs, COOs, and CBOs at pre-IPO biotechs in the Boston area. In addition to C-level positions, Amanda’s search experience includes functional leadership roles in clinical development, translational, preclinical and early discovery. Amanda was previously a Paralegal at Schlam Stone & Dolan, a boutique law firm in New York City.

Amanda earned her B.A. in Government and Politics with a minor in Business Management from Wagner College.
