Alec Asbridge

Alec Asbridge joined Flagship Pioneering in 2025 and supports the agriculture and sustainability team at Flagship Pioneering. He focuses on building biological systems that expand the world’s essential resource base through scaling innovative ventures at the intersection of biotechnology, agriculture, and data-driven business models.

Alec specializes in translating breakthrough science and technology into commercially viable platforms, leading efforts from early concept through operating model design, go-to-market strategy, and full commercialization.

Prior to joining Flagship, Alec was at EY-Parthenon, where he led global corporate growth strategy and venture development initiatives across the agriculture and biotech sectors. His work spanned North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, advising multinational organizations on new business creation, joint venture structuring, and large-scale operating model transformations. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles within the Georgia Department of Agriculture, serving as Director of Business Operations and as a policy advisor to the Commissioner.

Alec holds a Master of Laws in International Law from the University of Edinburgh, with a focus on cross-border transactions and commercial law, and a B.S. in Environmental Economics and Management from the University of Georgia.
