Adiyant Lamba

Associate

Adiyant Lamba joined Flagship Pioneering in 2024 after completing the Flagship Fellowship, and works on venture creation at the intersection of cell biology, genomics, and human fertility. He has supported scientific strategy and platform innovation at Quotient Therapeutics, and is now focused on ideation and operational buildout for Flagship’s next generation of groundbreaking life science companies.

Prior to joining Flagship, Adiyant completed his doctoral degree at the University of Cambridge, where his research focused on early mammalian embryo development, specifically on understanding how the first distinct cell types emerge from the egg. His work on the molecular mechanisms that cause this symmetry breaking event have been published in eLife, Nature Structural and Molecular Biology, as well as Current Topics in Developmental Biology, and received international conference awards. He also collaborated on the application of artificial intelligence for non-invasive embryo feature detection to improve in vitro fertilization outcomes, resulting in a Scientific Reports publication and a patent application.

Beyond his research, Adiyant is committed to scientific communication and mentorship. He served as President of the Cambridge University Science Magazine, represented trainees on the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience committee, and supervised undergraduate students in neurobiology and cell biology.

Adiyant earned his Ph.D. and bachelor’s degree from the University of Cambridge, U.K.
