Description: The promise of genetic medicine has never been greater — or more scrutinized. As the first generation of gene and RNA therapies meets the realities of the clinic and the market, a new wave of companies is advancing technologies that aim to correct disease at its source with greater precision, scalability, and safety.
In this live recording of The Genetics Podcast, host Patrick Short sits down with Mike Severino, CEO of Tessera Therapeutics, and Michelle Werner, CEO of Alltrna, to discuss what’s next for genetic medicine. Both companies are rapidly moving toward the clinic with first-in-class programs, have presented compelling proof-of-concept data for in vivo disease correction, and are navigating an evolving investor landscape in the wake of the first wave of RNA and gene-editing therapeutics.
Together, they’ll explore where conviction and evidence meet in this next chapter of medicine — and what it will take to deliver on the transformative potential of programming biology itself.
