Nick Teceno
Scientist, In Vitro Pharmacology, Pioneering Medicines
Nick Teceno joined Flagship Pioneering in 2022 as Scientist, In Vitro Pharmacology for Pioneering Medicines. He is responsible for conducting in vitro studies of efficacy, potency, mechanism of action (MOA), and exploratory biology to support Pioneering Medicines’ portfolio and pipeline development of innovative therapeutics.
Nick is a stem cell and primary cell biologist with experience in designing and using automated systems to advance therapeutic portfolios. Prior to joining Flagship, he spent time at Sana Biotechology, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, MassBiologics of UMass Medical School, and Smithers Viscient. He has expertise in developing biological assays derived from human primary and stem cell models, and their associated functional assays, and he has been involved in several projects that have advanced to first-in-human trials. Nick has also led several efforts in scaling cell culture and analytical workflows by designing and implementing automated workcells.
Nick earned his B.S. in Biochemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
