Ron Gimbel

Ron Gimbel is Chief Financial Officer, Flagship Labs and Enterprise. In this role, he is responsible for building and leading an expanded Flagship Labs finance team in creating and implementing standard processes in financial operations, planning and analysis, accounting, and controls, working closely with our Origination Partners and all NewCos and ProtoCos.

Prior to Flagship, he was at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) for nearly 25 years, most recently as Vice President of Finance for Research and Development overseeing financial operations for a $5.5B global research and development organization and serving as a key advisor to the presidents of Global Drug Development and of Research and Early Development. He was previously the Chief Audit Officer responsible for leading BMS’ enterprise risk management program, internal audit planning and controls and governance processes. Among other roles at BMS, Ron also spent time leading financial operations for the company’s Global Manufacturing & Supply; managing BMS’ international treasury function; driving the financial strategy for BMS’ Global Enterprise Services; and leading emerging market finance functions in Asia Pacific.

Ron is a member of the Thomas Edison State University Foundation Board where he focuses on academic scholarships for Veterans pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Ron received his M.B.A. and B.S. from Colorado State University. He is also a graduate from U.S. Army Ranger School and served in the U.S. Army.
