Matthew Small

Matthew Small joined Flagship Pioneering in 2022 and brings more than 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure, management, and engineering. He provides site management and collaborates closely with Flagship GrowthCo's to coordinate vendors for project support, enhancing productivity, and ensuring uninterrupted business operations. He also provides dedicated support to Flagship’s executive team.

Prior to his role at Flagship, Matthew served as a Senior IT Manager at a prominent HR transformation consultancy, specializing in the implementation of Human Experience Management (HXM). He designed and implemented IT systems and strategies for multiple offices across the United States, as well as international locations in London, Peru, and India.

Matthew studied at the University of Maryland, A. James Clark School of Engineering and holds multiple certifications from the Computer Career Institute at Johns Hopkins University, including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Project+.
