In her role as executive assistant, Giovanna supports corporate partners and collaborates with Flagship teams in the communications, editorial, and outward-facing events functions for the company. Prior to joining Flagship, Giovanna was the executive assistant to the CEO of Biogen, and before that she was the executive assistant to the CEO, editor in chief, and publisher of MIT Technology Review.
Giovanna is fluent in Italian, Spanish, and French, and worked in Italy for a stretch of her career when she was special assistant to the spouse of the U.S. Ambassador to Italy, where she helped facilitate two presidential visits, and coordinated many illustrious events, hosting dignitaries and heads of state. She has also worked in fundraising, helping to manage the office of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums, which is responsible for supporting the stewardship function for the preservation of the Vatican Museum’s vast art collection.
Giovanna holds a B.A. in Journalism and Foreign Language Media from the American University in Washington, D.C., and is currently enrolled in Interior Design studies at the Boston Architectural College.
