Anthony Chiu

Anthony Chiu is a Senior Associate at Flagship Pioneering. In this role, Anthony works with a team of scientists to create transformative life science companies based on exciting new biology and helps to shape corporate strategy and operations.

Prior to Flagship, Anthony was a management consultant at McKinsey, where he advised biotech and pharmaceutical clients on R&D strategy, drug launches, and commercial strategy. While at MIT, he worked in Phillip Sharp’s lab, focusing on understanding transcriptional checkpoints / RNA processing of noncoding RNAs. He has presented talks at several conferences and is an author of several publications. As an undergraduate, he contributed to research on induced pluripotent stem cells, cancer biology, and mRNA localization.

Anthony holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Biology at MIT and a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto, focused on Molecular Genetics.
